Re: Wanna Draw Like a Professional Manga Artist? 1A few years ago, ~Scarlettestar wrote a journal entry entitled "Wanna Draw Like a Professional Artist?", http://fav.me/d3jic05 in which she interviewed a bunch of talented manga-style artists on dA for advice, encouragement, and a brief relation of their experiences as artists. For anyone who's even thought of picking up a pencil, there's a lot of detailed advice and myths that are addressed, and everything said in it is useful. I would highly recommend giving the journal a read.
Having read it some time ago, and after gathering inspiration and information from a variety of resources, I decided I would finally start teaching myself how to draw, starting by following a self-imposed, 365 day drawing challenge I created for myself (http://cerobi.deviantart.com/journal/365-Day-Drawing-Challenge-348189315). But I also thought, who best to learn and get immediate advice from but the many artists I follow on deviantart?
Of course, drawing is a huge topic to break down, even when narrowed

orang baca komik karena ada ceritanya, bukan cuma gambar haha. tapi bukan cerita dengan gambar tapi gambar dengan cerita.
mengikuti keinginan fans bagus, tapi jangan berlebihan.. ga mungkin
bikin sesuatu yang bertentangan dengan keinginanmu hanya gara-gara
ngikutin keinginan orang kan. mungkin new comic bomber 8 bisa dijadiin
bahan renungan.
referensi bagus dan wajib dimiliki, namun sekali-kali boleh keluar dari
referensi. namun fungsi dari referensi adalah menjaga cerita dalam batas
kewajaran. referensi paling bagus adalah buku ilmu pasti bukan komik
atau cerita.
soal artwork, kebanyakan artist punya kemampuan art yang bagus untuk
"artwork". terlalu berusaha keras untuk membuat karakter keren sehingga
terlupa untuk membuat sesuatu dalam motion. sehingga adegan berkelahi
dapat terlihat sebagai orang ber"pose" sedang berkelahi bukan berkelahi.

(maap linknya sy hilangkan saja. soalnya bener juga (baru dikasih tau), ternyata malah bikin kita ngedrop bacanya, selain itu komentar2 yg ada pada ngeflame, jd malah percuma buang2 energi buat marah2 disana. hehehe yg jelas isinya mengatakan bahwa negara kita sebenernya termasuk yg terkaya didunia, dgn hasil freeport/tambang emas, kekayaan laut dan kekayaan hasil alam dan kita seolah2 tidak sadar bahwa sedang berdiri diatas berlian. begitu kata2nya)

Literature/ righting: Get creative and wright a story about my character.
How did she become a doll? how did she become a steel doll? were did she come from? Don't be afraid to let your imagination run wild!
